Batches are committed on intuition
A ceramics plant commits a batch to a 1,100–1,300°C firing cycle largely on the kiln master's intuition. Clay shrinks unpredictably, glaze behaves differently on each body, and a small drift in the curve produces warpage, dunting, tone shift, or off-caliber pieces, discovered only after the burn. Offline simulators are slow and never close the loop with the real kiln.

Kilnex simulates the firing curve, shrinkage, vitrification, tone, and glaze behavior for a specific body-and-glaze recipe and predicts fired caliber, shade, and planarity before firing. Technologists run what-if curves, and Kilnex returns the curve that hits target spec at the lowest energy and defect risk, then hands those setpoints to the kiln or exports them to Thermiq and Glazio.
